Security Check Request

Residents and business owners can request increased police patrols for specific periods of time. Examples of when these checks can be useful include family vacations, renovations where you are unable to secure your home or business, leaving a piece of high value machinery on a work site, and other times when a little extra attention from the police is desired. Please complete the online Police Security Check Request Form. Please note that this service is not for complaints or tips about possible criminal activity. Please contact the department by phone to report suspected criminal activity.

Requesting a Report

You can now request a police report online using our Request Form. Typical vehicle accident reports are completed two (2) days after the accident. Incident reports can take longer to complete. BSPD does not release any report related to incidents still under investigation.

Drug Take Back Box

Prescription drug abuse is a mounting concern in our community and across the nation. The BSPD, in cooperation with the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office and other community partners, is proud to offer our community another Drug Take Back Box Location. The public can drop their unwanted and expired prescription drugs, OTC drugs, vitamins, and other materials in the clearly marked box in the lobby of the Town Hall and Police Department. Contents are picked up by the Sheriff's Office and properly disposed of. Flushing these items is not a viable disposal method as wastewater treatment plants do not remove active medical ingredients. Instead these ingredients contaminate natural waterways and have documented effects on wildlife.

Document Shredding

Preventing a case of identity theft is a lot easier than solving one. In an effort to prevent identity theft and similar crimes, the Town of Boiling Springs is proud to offer document destruction services to our residents. The public can drop sensitive documents into a special bin located in the Police Department and Town Hall lobby for safe disposal. The contents are regularly emptied and disposed of by a professional document destruction company.

Crime Prevention Seminars

The BSPD is available for group or community seminars on various crime prevention topics including identity theft prevention, home and business security consultations, and general neighborhood safety talks. We can work with surrounding law enforcement agencies to find a speaker that best fits your needs. Please contact the Lieutenant or Police Chief about this service.

Parades & Special Event Permits

In order to ensure safety and minimum traffic disruption, parades and other large public events require a permit from the Town. The permitting process is centered around facilitating these events to minimize potential adverse impacts and ensure the safety of participants and the general public. Please fill out the parade permit form and submit it to the BSPD.
