Form of Government

The Town of Boiling Springs operates under the Council-Manager form of  government. Under this form of government, the elected Town Council  appoint a professional Town Manager to act as the Town's chief executive  officer. 

Town Manager Duties

The Town Manager has various responsibilities and authorities including:

  • Appointing all personnel
  • Overseeing the operations of the Town
  • Submitting the annual budget
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Advising the Town Council on municipal policy matters

While the Town Manager is often available for walk-in meetings, we do ask that you contact Shannon Shytle to schedule an appointment.
