PSNC Energy plans to begin work on the installation of our T-001A Gas Pipeline in Cleveland, Rutherford and Polk Counties. This additional pipeline allows us to meet the current and future natural gas needs in this area of North Carolina while maintaining the safety and integrity of our transmission pipeline systems in compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations.
The pipeline will be approximately 47 miles long. In order to reduce the disruption to citizens and the environment, the pipeline corridor plans to run within the current PSNC Energy rights-of-way. The final route of the pipeline will be determined through land surveys and an analysis of many factors including environmental, cultural and historical factors. There may be a need for additional temporary easements during the construction phase of the project.
